Brian Cairns, Non-Executive Director, has more than 37 years of experience in general insurance and reinsurance including roles as Managing Director of Gerling Global Reinsurance and Scor Re and most recently as General Manager of Australian International Insurance Ltd from 2003 – January 2007. Brian has a B.Com economics degree and is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).
John Fahey AC, Chairman, former Premier of NSW and Federal Minister for Finance and Administration. Before entering politics, John practised law as a solicitor. John serves on a number of boards and is President of the World Anti-Doping Agency.
Gregor Pfitzer is Assetinsure’s Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Assetinsure in July 2003, Gregor was Deputy Managing Director of Gerling Australia. Gregor holds a degree in economics from the University of Cologne.
Hans Sprangers, Non-Executive Director, has more than 25 years experience in general insurance, including eight years as Managing Director of Lumley General Insurance. Hans has a masters degree in economics.
Bev Walters, Non-Executive Director, has had over 30 years experience in banking and finance and serves on a number of boards of Australian companies. Bev has a BSc Mining Geology degree, a B.Com business administration degree and an MBA.
Peter Wedgwood is Assetinsure’s Chief Executive Officer. Peter is qualified as a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years in the insurance industry, most particularly, in the business of underwriting financial risks.
Volker Weisbrodt, Non-Executive Director, is an executive Board member of Global Re. Volker holds a degree in business administration from the University of Cologne.
