Experience
Nick’s involvement in the insurance industry commenced about 20 years ago with the former Tasmanian Government Insurance Office underwriting commercial property accounts. In 1995 Nick joined GIO Australia as a Business Insurance Underwriter, initially establishing a portfolio of commercial risks on the north-west coast of Tasmania, before transferring to Bathurst NSW to manage and develop an existing portfolio. Nick moved to Sydney in 1999 with Fortis Australia and was responsible for the development of intermediary business in NSW for the commercial insurance division.
Nick chose to specialise in Professional Liability lines in 2000 taking up a position with Allianz underwriting Professional Indemnity, Directors’ & Officers’ and associated products for commercial and corporate risks. Nick took up his current role in 2003, in the lead up to Assetinsure obtaining their general insurance license from APRA.

Something you didn't know
On the rare occasions he is not behind his desk underwriting quality risks, Nick enjoys home brewing and getting outdoors trail riding, camping, bushwalking and a bit of amateur photography.
