After 7 years employed as Treasurer/Commercial Manager for Australia’s largest aerospace group, Peter established Asset Underwriting in 1983 to specialise in underwriting Financial Risk insurance. Over the 25 years Peter has pioneered a number of financial risk products into the Australian market and developed new funding structures that utilise this specialist cover.

The acquisition of Gerling Global Re Australia by Peter and the co-investors was the culmination of a personal journey to establish and operate as an insurance group as opposed to operating as an underwriting agency. As a direct insurer Assetinsure will deliver much needed capacity to the financial risk and other specialist insurance arenas.
